From the Alabama state line to the Gulf of Mexico, Walton County focuses on communicating with residents and visitors so they can enjoy the beach safely. The Tourism Department takes its role seriously, partnering with the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, South Walton Fire District and Walton County Emergency Management.
A great example of this collaborative communication in action is the way-finding signage you’ll find at both neighborhood and regional beach accesses. The Tourism Department Beach Operations team provides maintenance on all facilities, including bathrooms and beach signage, throughout the year. All beach access points are clearly named and have a corresponding 911 address attached.
